SZ8 SealCooler for Saving Seal Water
The SZ8 SealCooler™ Thermosiphon System is engineered with an innovative and entirely novel approach to achieving simplicity and robustness. Developed by Flow Control, the thermosiphon system is specifically designed for dual seals that incorporate pumping capabilities. This pumping feature enhances the circulation of the sealing liquid within the thermosiphon system, thereby enabling more efficient cooling and lubrication of the mechanical seals. Consequently, the system minimizes dry running on the seals, thereby extending their lifespan. Additionally, the system offers cost savings in sealing water consumption compared to external flush systems.
The reduced number of accessories simplifies installation and commissioning, making the system highly user-friendly. Notably, the height differences between the liquid surfaces of the system with a mechanical seal and the SZ8 SealCooler are now greater than those of the traditional system. This enhancement improves the circulation of the sealing liquid within the system. Furthermore, the seal connections and the diameter of the hoses/pipes have been increased, thereby enhancing the reliability of the seal and mitigating the risk of clogging.
